The Argus Panoramic Nightvision Goggle (APNVG) is designed to significantly enhance a user's field of view, increasing it from the traditional 40 degrees to an expansive 100 degrees. This system utilizes four image intensifier tubes to deliver a broader field of view without sacrificing resolution or collimation. The center tubes, which are parallel and forward-facing, provide depth perception and stereoscopic vision, while the side tubes offer additional peripheral vision. Each APNVG system is meticulously assembled and calibrated in ARGUS' state-of-the-art facility, ensuring optimal performance and waterproof integrity. The device is powered externally via a Fischer plug and includes an Argus Universal Strobe Battery Pack.
Argus APNVG Key Features:
The Argus APNVG offers a panoramic field of view of 100 degrees, significantly greater than the typical 40 degrees provided by conventional monocular or binocular systems.
The APNVG is powered by an external battery pack, specifically the Argus Universal Strobe Battery Pack (USBP), which is included in each APNVG combo set.
The Argus APNVG comes with a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects. However, damages caused by improper usage or user assembly/disassembly are not covered.
Yes, the APNVG is waterproof up to 2 meters for more than 30 minutes, ensuring reliability in various environmental conditions.
The APNVG uses four image intensifier tubes to provide an expanded and seamless field of view. The central tubes offer depth perception and stereoscopic vision, while the side tubes offer additional peripheral vision.
Each APNVG is assembled and calibrated using a Hoffman Engineering ANV-126A device with a custom-made panoramic collimation adapter. They undergo vacuum testing and nitrogen purging to ensure water-proofing and are inspected thoroughly before shipment.
Rechargeable batteries are prone to leaking, which can cause significant damage to the sensitive electronics and components within night vision goggles. This leakage can result in malfunctions or even complete failure of the device.
It is highly recommended to use lithium batteries for night vision goggles. Lithium batteries are more stable and less likely to leak, ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of your night vision equipment.
If your PNVG 18 are not turning on, follow these steps:
Dark spots are small black dots you might see when looking through night vision goggles (NVGs). They occur because of tiny imperfections in the intensifier tube, which helps amplify light to let you see in the dark. These spots don't usually affect how well you can see. Intensifier tubes have three zones:
Zone 1: The central area where you look the most. It's the clearest part.
Zone 2: The middle ring around Zone 1. This zone might have a few more imperfections.
Zone 3: The outer edge. This zone can have the most imperfections, but it doesn't affect your view much because it's on the edges.
The fewer dark spots an NVG has, the higher its quality and price. NVGs with almost no dark spots are typically more expensive because they have better intensifier tubes. However, a few dark spots are normal, and as long as they don't block your view too much, your NVGs should work just fine.
