The AB Night Vision ARNVG provides a comprehensive solution for nighttime operations, combining advanced technology with rugged durability. Constructed from high-strength 7075 aluminum, this night vision gear is designed for the most demanding environments.
AB Night Vision ARNVG Key Features:
The ARNVG operates on a single CR123 battery. Under typical use, the battery can last for approximately 18+ hours.
Yes, the ARNVG is waterproof and can be submerged up to 66 feet.
The ARNVG is designed for night-time use due to its image intensification capabilities. Using it during the day or in strong light conditions can damage the device.
You can adjust the focus on the ARNVG by gently turning the objective lens until you achieve clear visual quality. It has a focus range from 9.8″ to infinity.
The ARNVG offers a field of view of 40 degrees, providing ample coverage for situational awareness during night operations.
Yes, the ARNVG features an onboard IR illuminator to enhance visibility in completely dark conditions without any ambient light.
The ARNVG is designed with adjustable articulating pods and can accommodate a wide range of head sizes and shapes, offering comfortable wear for extended periods.
Yes, the ARNVG is compatible with helmet mounts, allowing for hands-free operation. Make sure your helmet mount is compatible with the 7075 Aluminum construction of the ARNVG for secure attachment.
While the ARNVG is built to perform in a variety of environmental conditions, extreme temperatures can affect image quality, especially the levels of Equivalent Background Illumination (EBI).
The correct designation for this advanced night vision technology is AB Night Vision ARNVG. This nomenclature emphasizes the brand—AB Night Vision—as the manufacturer, with ARNVG standing as the specific model of the night vision goggles.
The AB Night Vision ARNVG housing is constructed from durable 7075 Aluminum, ensuring a robust and lightweight design capable of withstanding the rigors of operational use. This high-grade aluminum offers exceptional strength and resistance to corrosion and wear.
The term "20UA" refers to a high-performance night vision intensifier tube from L3Harris, designed for aviation use. These tubes have stringent quality standards for dark spots, allowing larger spots only in the outermost zone (Zone 3), ensuring a clearer image.
Key Features of 20UA Tubes:
Strict Spot Tolerance: Larger dark spots (> .003 inches) are only allowed in Zone 3, ensuring high image clarity.
High Performance:
L3 20UA tubes offer excellent image quality with minimal imperfections, making them ideal for aviation and other high-demand applications.
Rechargeable batteries are prone to leaking, which can cause significant damage to the sensitive electronics and components within night vision goggles. This leakage can result in malfunctions or even complete failure of the device.
It is highly recommended to use lithium batteries for night vision goggles. Lithium batteries are more stable and less likely to leak, ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of your night vision equipment.
If your ARNVG are not turning on, follow these steps:
Dark spots are small black dots you might see when looking through night vision goggles (NVGs). They occur because of tiny imperfections in the intensifier tube, which helps amplify light to let you see in the dark. These spots don't usually affect how well you can see. Intensifier tubes have three zones:
Zone 1: The central area where you look the most. It's the clearest part.
Zone 2: The middle ring around Zone 1. This zone might have a few more imperfections.
Zone 3: The outer edge. This zone can have the most imperfections, but it doesn't affect your view much because it's on the edges.
The fewer dark spots an NVG has, the higher its quality and price. NVGs with almost no dark spots are typically more expensive because they have better intensifier tubes. However, a few dark spots are normal, and as long as they don't block your view too much, your NVGs should work just fine.
