I love how sturdy and comfortable they are the only thing that I didn't like about them is that they are slippery on wet metal. I was walking down a street when a light rain began, when I step on a metal cover on the sidewalk I began to slip. That was my only dislike besides that I think they're a great value for the money.Pretty good shoes, the laces comes off on the upper end were it ties. It has really good inserts making it really comfortable ??After doing a lot of online research looking at many different boots I was delighted to select these boots for purchase. When they arrived I was very impressed with all the upper parts on them --- they looked like they would last a long time and be impervious to the elements.But sadly I had to return them because the sole is so solid, which is a good thing, but not for me.I have been wearing a different brand of boots for the past 10 years on which the soles have always been flexible and bendy enough to allow me to get a good grip on my local Nevada desert trails which are often rocky, dusty, at times slippery from accumulated gravel, and require flexibility in my feet to stay upright and not slip over. And those flexible soles are still intact after 10 years of regular trail walking, but it's the uppers on those old boots that have started to come apart.To be honest, when I tried these new boots on I felt a bit like Frankenstein clomping along with leaden feet. They are so well made that the soles probably wouldn't soften up much over time (but I could be wrong about that.)So, the 4 stars I gave these boots are missing one star because I don't like the stiffness of the soles, but apart from that they really deserve 5 stars. As I mentioned, they are really well made and look great so I'm sure they'd be perfect for everyone else, those walking on more normal hiking trails than I do.Gave as a giftUse it for fishing & walksThis brand makes some comfort boots. I was glad with my purchase and loved the price for these. I am a Merrell guy for my hiking boots and these are great alternative brand for hikes and for everyday wear. I have gotten compliments by friends and other service members for my boots. The inserts are great and memory foam like a pair of Skechers. You can easily take them out if memory foam isn't your thing for hiking boots. For normal day hikes they were great but I might by some more firm form fitting inserts for longer hikes.These boots are pretty comfortable & I was able to order my shoe size which fit perfectly. They aren't as waterproof as I expected. The tops of the toes aren't waterproof & will allow your feet to get wet. All in all they are pretty good boots. A little waterproof shoe spray will help with the toe part.I have a bum ankle so I have been looking for a good pair of high top golf shoes. I love to walk when I play which I do at least twice a week in the early mornings, when it's cool and the grass wet. I needed a pair of shoes that gives good support for my ankles and also waterproof. The Nortiv 8 boots are not golf shoes but I was desperate. I decided to try them, and I was pleasantly surprised. They were comfortable, light and waterproof. But best of all, they provided good ankle support! I have worn them for almost two months now and they continue to wear well. I can't say, however, that they are improving my golf scores. :-(I decided I needed a new pair of boots for work as I cover a lot of miles in a day and need a boot that is comfortable and sturdy. I have another pair of Nortiv 8 boots that I really like, so I took a chance on this black mid-boot.These boots are mostly fantastic. Grippy in dry conditions, made well, waterproof and very comfortable. When I get a new pair of boots, I normally change the insole to a more comfortable one, but I didn't have to with this boot.I wanted to give this product 5 stars, because they were inexpensive and are very capable, however, the soles have already started to wear even though I've only had these boots for about a month.I am sure this is purely down to the amount of miles I walk in them, but still, that's pretty quick wear to the soles.So.....for the price they are a great buy, however only with occasional use.I bought this boots as I needed new waterproof hiking boots. This weekend I wore tjem as it was raining and my feet got soaked wet. Not sure how can they claim they're waterproof. Total rubbish. The inside sole has a gap on the outside making the boots very uncomfortable. Do not waste your money.Thought I’d try these boots as they were really well priced . They fitted extremely well and VERY comfortable to wear.After a small issue Had to get in touch with their customer service dept. I couldn’t believe how quick they responded within 3 hours which I think is astounding in todays hurly burly days any I informed them of my issue and after a couple more emails they issued me with a replacement pair foc even though the boots were just over the 90 day period . I can’t praise this company enough and would highly recommend them .10/10 for service well done Ivy & her teamThis purchase followed on from an unsuitable return purchase (size too small). I settled for a boot (NORTIV 8) instead of a shoe because of increased foot support. I am not disappointed. My early morning walks take me through long, often drenched grass and rough territory. These boots are meeting my need so far.There has been no rubbing or problems with lacing - so well pleased.Amazon and Royal Mail handled the original return so well - on time and no bother. The newly selectedNOTIV 8 boot arrived the following day. Great service - thank you!Bought these boots based on the number of reviews and so far have found them to be comfortable when walking.After opening the box, the boots seemed heavy in the hand. The initial test fitting in the house felt uncomfortable as the top of the boots were rigid.I have now walked about 50 miles in them and find they have settled in. The soles are of a good quality and the inside lining is comfortable.Up to now I have not had any heavy rains, and so cannot comment on the ability to withstand a real downpour, but my feet have stayed dry when walking along muddy tracks with puddles.A nice touch is the extra pair of shoe laces that came with the boots.So far, so good.
