The Team Wendy® EXFIL® Counterweight Kit is a well-designed accessory created to enhance helmet balance and comfort for operators. By adding weight to the rear of the helmet, it compensates for the additional load of night vision devices and other front-mounted equipment, significantly improving helmet stability and reducing neck strain. This accessory is designed for ease of attachment and security, compatible with a range of Team Wendy helmets including EXFIL® Ballistic, EXFIL® LTP Bump, EXFIL® Carbon Bump, and Team Wendy® SAR Tactical™, among others.
The choice between Small and Large sizes depends on the weight you need to balance your helmet setup. The Small kit is adjustable up to 0.75 lbs. and includes three (3) 0.25 lb. weights. The Large kit can be adjusted up to 1.5 lbs. using three (3) 0.5 lb. weights. Consider the weight of your front-mounted devices to determine the best fit.
The counterweight kit is designed to integrate seamlessly with Team Wendy® helmets, including the EXFIL® Ballistic, EXFIL® Carbon, and SAR models. While it may fit other helmets with similar mounting systems, optimal performance and stability can only be guaranteed with Team Wendy® products.
The EXFIL® Counterweight Kit attaches to the rear of your helmet using a hook/loop system for quick and secure placement. For added stability, the kit is also secured to the helmet's side rails with webbing for EXFIL® Ballistic models or shock cord for the Team Wendy® SAR models.
Yes, the counterweight kit is customizable. It allows for the adjustment of weight by adding or removing the individual lead weights provided. This feature enables users to find the perfect balance for their specific helmet setup.
The lead weights included in the EXFIL® Counterweight Kit are fully coated for safety, minimizing the risk of exposure. However, it's always recommended to handle the weights with care and wash your hands after installation or adjustment.
