Pointed at the ceiling, it can light up a totally dark room as though you had the room lights on.With the pressure switch on, you get the one mode, and of course the cord is the weak part. When the connections gave way either at the pressure switch or at the cap to the flashlight, I simply replace the cord with thicker cord and use better solder. Problem solved referring to the light failing. Otherwise, this is a very good flashlight set up.I like the mount that attach by using your fingers. After a few hundred rapid rounds, this thing has not moved and the glass stayed intact despite concussion from the muzzle about one and a half inches in front of it.The only thing I didn't like about this setup is the pressure switch. It's so fat it doesn't fit in a standard flat mounting plate... I may change the switch cover all together.I get that a "new" product should not have any hang ups, but this is how one would thrive in a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!!! ? XD
