I bought two of these in 2003 for about $30 each. Both served me well in Iraq, and for many years after. The first one died a chemical death. Some sort of acid or solvent got on it at work and degraded the fabric. The second one is alive but worn. I've over stuffed ( 70 - 80 lbs )and abused them for years with little issue. The pack has a large expandable main pocket, a nice sized middle pocket with zippered pockets inside it. The small front pocket has another zippered pocket, and wallet style card holders. The back of the pack has a slot for a big hydration bladder, note book or whatever you want to put in it. With the main pouch collapsed it's a medium sized pack. Open it and you have a large pack with lots of space. My only issue with it over the years is that when you're living out of it for a few weeks it's easy to forget where you put stuff in all the pockets.
