It is a very compact bag. It is meant for fast paced treks. I haven't done any intensive "in the field" tests; just an overall functionality test.-The straps snug up well, and hold tight.- The straps are easily adjustable, and I was able to get the pack to seat nicely at the top of my back. (I'm 6'2" 170lbs)- there is molle webbing on the bottom pouch, so if you need more storage you can add it to the bottom of the pack.I did a very thorough test of the included bladder, which I think is well engineered.- all of the connection points seal perfectly. (There are two, one at the base of the bladder and one at the bite spout.)- the shut off valve is easy to manipulate and creates a complete seal that allows for no leaks. I tried to get it to leak, but it refused.- the twist cap for the bladder seals 100% with no leaking, when full and inverted.- the cap is also easy to loosen after being full of water, which is a huge relief if you have experience with those blue Camelbak bladders.- the bladder is also very easy to remove for cleaning via a zipper. The only things I didn't like are aesthetic features.- I purchased this with the intention of having it match my other Kryptek Mandrake camo gear. The unfortunate truth is that the color doesn't quite match up.- there is a strip of velcro on the top end of the pack, but it is a bit thin for adding any cool patches.Overall it is a very good pack. It is a hydration pack first and foremost, so don't expect to use it as a bug out bag or anything. The quality of the bladder is the biggest selling point. Of the 5 different bladder types I own, it is the best one.I will update this review as I use this product more.
