This is the most amazing jacket in the universe! I love all the pockets! I work with individuals experiencing homelessness and need plenty of pockets to carry all the giveaway granola bars, water bottles, informational pamphlets, Narcan, multi-tool, two cell phones, and more. There's even room for my laptop in the back pocket! I've been wearing a military field jacket with lots of pockets, but in the Pacific Northwest, I needed something waterproof. I was just telling my wife, "I need something like this field jacket, only waterproof." I looked EVERYWHERE, and finally found this one. This jacket is PERFECT! And let me save you time--As far as I can tell, this vendor is the only one who sells this exact jacket.Word of advice--Order a size smaller than you normally would. To me it doesn’t have the versatility to be a daily use jacket but on any rainy day it can’t be beat and on cold windy days with a warm pullover or fleece vest you can hardly beat it. Woolrich is reliable.I was first skeptical about buying a jacket (trying the fit, sizing, length , etc) on-line. I am an experienced ebayer and Amazon purchaser so I took a chance. I read every review and description I could get googled or answers for. I was pleased and now I am MOST Happy with this jacket. The Medium sized jacket (men's) fits true like a medium. I wear a 42Short sport jacket and this unit allows me to layer more clothing items under. The sleeves are a 32" because that's my shirt size and it's perfect for my frame. When I extend my arms, the sleeves are just right, not too long that they bunch up around the wrists. The sleeves are perfect for me. I like the details/design because it looks like it was designed by the correct end users (Military/Police/Civilian Contractors). It shows it. Every detail seems to be engineered correctly. The cuffs have the right tension elastic inside even with velcro closure. The sleeve pockets are deep enough to hold eyeglass cases and long cell phones. The hand pockets have a single polyester pile surface just enough to warm your hands and not be bulky. Well thought out! The double zipper along the exterior sides (both left and right) are perfect for CCW, or range holsters carried on the belt, paddle style. Very nice and easy to access your holster along your hip bone. The interior pockets along the bottom are well situation and will hold more eyewear, like ballistic glasses or other items that need fast access. I noticed that the 4 oz nylon is lighter and that contributes to a lighter jacket... I'm from Canada, we know parkas very well and nope, I would not call this a parka, jacket or coat maybe, but not parka. I'm giving it 5 stars because it's a well designed piece of kit. Well, I might not be going into harm's way, or being deployed, but I would rather take my ECWCS Gen2 jacket because it's more abrasion resistant and bombproof. My use of the jacket is really for hiking, skiing, light outdoor recreation and then also running the firing point on the known distance ranges. I would not be happy doing a 'stalk' with this jacket. You serious shooters know what I'm referring to. All in all, it's a great city jacket. It's a fantastic garrison jacket. It's a light use field jacket. It's something us tactical wannabe fellas can wear at the office and remain discreet. Hey, if I was an airsoft fellow, I would take this out on an inclement weather field day. Hope this helps you decide. I'm happy with this jacket. Rough use? Buy yourself an M65 jacket! Colder weather, buy a hunting parka! All the best! Hungry556More Pockets than I know what to do wiuth!Gave this four stars because of the cost and also because this is not a parka but more of an outer shell for a parka. For the Pacific Northwest where it does not get to cold this is fine because I think you can get three seasons out of it. For the couple of cold days I put a fleece under it and this worked out fine. Although for the price the jacket should have come with an intergrated removable fleece and I suspect if you lived where it is cold for long periods you would get tired of having to do the fleece / jacket two step.It is waterproof and has tons of pockets. I also like the arm zips and tuck away hood.Sizing is big which works fine for layering underneath. However, I would not recommend to a friend due to the cost. That said I expect to get a number of years of use out of it and I am happy with it.Generally it is a good product as I bought 3pcs of different colors respectively. With so many pockets I dont need to use a waist pouch. I wear when I am riding to work. Its comfortably nice in the early morning and night but not during day time as I will sweat due to Singapore hot climate in general.Overall I am satisfied as initially I bought 1 pc. Few weeks later bought another 1 pc. A month later bought another 1 pc all of different colors. However, when it is drizzling it is fine but if heavy rains some of the items in the pockets get wet.I'm from Canada. When I hear the word "parka" I think of a heavy jacket a la Canada Goose, insulated and designed for winter. Leave off the word "parka" and the Woolrich tactical jacket is worth a five star rating. Well made, tons of pockets, great zippers. I love it. I love it because I wear two additional layers -- a fleece jacket and the insulated liner from an old London Fog jacket -- underneath. Nonetheless, I know I'll be wearing my Woolrich come spring and summer and so I'm happy to give it four stars.I love this jacket! After reading several reviews I decided to order it, and iI am glad I did. Most reviews talked of it just being a shell. I understand that comment, but was surprised when I got it how heavy the jacket really was. More than a shell in my mind. Zippers work great as well. The main pockets at the bottom of the front of the coat are warm and feel nice with a soft material inside the pocket, to put your hands into. I use one of the top pockets to store my mini umbrella so I dont lose it in my traveling. I would definitely recommend this coat for anyone living in the NW!
