My pre-first daughter needed a bigger backpack for the folder system the teacher used for communicating to parents. Trying hard to find a backpack that she liked online before venturing out to the stores, we came across this online and with Amazon Prime, it was super easy. It was a little larger than I would have liked for a pre-first child, but did accomodate the folder and had two separate compartments with fairly easy to access spaces. My daughter LOVED the color, the sparkles, the light up heart, the light up sneaker hanging off the zipper. The only downside to this backpack is the fact that it does not have a water bottle holder. Otherwise - she and all the other little girls love this backpack.I was a bit hesitant to order a backpack online, but my daughter really wanted a pink leopard print one, and this was the only place we could find it! I was pleasantly surprised when this backpack arrived (just in time for the first day of school!). The colors are beautiful, and some of the rhinestones around the heart light up - just like the Twinkle Toes shoes. The backpack is a bit smaller than the typical ones you find at local stores, which is a good thing for my first grader. It is plenty big enough for her books, folders, and lunch bag, and the outside pocket is perfect for pencils, lunch money, etc. The material and zippers do not feel cheap, and I have no doubt this backpack will hold up for at least the whole school year. And my daughter couldn't be happier with it :)I have been purchasing Skechers shoes for years and they have always lasted and worn well. So, I thought this would be a great backpack to last my daughter through the school year-plus, it was cute and she asked for it for her birthday. However, by the second day of school the front pouch zipper was already broken and a few weeks later I noticed a hole in the lining. My guess is that I will be spending money on a new backpack within a few months. I am pretty disappointed-last year's backpack was just a cheap purchase made a local store that lasted all year. I would have purchased something similar if I had known the Skechers one wouldn't last very long.My daughter loves her new backpack. I like that it is big enough to carry her lunch box and folder but is small enough to be appropriate for a kindergartner. The one thing I'd change is that I'd love the ability to turn off the flashing lights! They are bright and flash the entire time she walks. She of course loves the lights! My daughter loves the design of this backpack, and of course, the very cool lights! I think it's the perfect size for her since she's starting kindergarten this year. However, the quality and construction seem a little flimsy. I'm hoping it can hold up through the whole school year. I think it's probably fine for a kindergartener or a first grader, but wouldn't recommend it for a child older than that.I got this for my niece and she loves it! She is a kindergartener and uses it to school every day since she got it. She loves that it lights up and the little blings that came with it.Granddaughter fell in love with this when she saw it. She needed a new backpack and I ordered this for her. It did take a few days to get here, but the look on her face when she saw it was worth it!I bought this for my grade-1 girl and she really loves it! But I would say the size of this is good for Prek~1, it may not big enough for grade2 and up. Another thing you have to be aware of is the bag doesn't have side pockets to storage water bottle....
